Who are we?
All school personnel, weaving together similar software solutions that work.
We’re a family-owned company. Between us we’ve taught classes, run schools, sat in IEP meetings and fixed the projector right before first period. We built the tools we always wished our schools had.
The name, part one
Why a weaverbird?
A small confession
I’ll be honest with you: every single education buzzword in existence is already taken. Learn-this, Edu-that, Smart-something, Bright-whatever. If it rhymes with “school,” someone got there first.
So I looked outward for a name that meant something and actually captured what we’re trying to build, and I’m so glad I did. I landed on Weaverbird for the story of the animal itself, and added Works for the full suite of products we offer.
Weaverbirds are tiny builders with big ambitions. They make their nests one blade of grass at a time, tying real knots with nothing but a beak and a lot of patience. And if the nest isn’t quite right? They take it apart and weave it again until it is.
Some of them, the sociable weavers, go even further. They build one enormous shared nest, a big woven apartment building where a hundred or more birds live together, each family in its own room, and the whole thing is cared for and kept up for generations.
That’s exactly how we want to build for schools: patiently, strand by strand, shaped around the district that lives in it, with every office under one roof, and built to last.
- Knot by knotEvery nest is woven by hand (well, by beak). No two are quite alike.
- Try, try againA nest that isn’t right gets rewoven. We’re that stubborn about software too.
- One roof, many familiesA shared nest with a room for everyone, like six products sharing one setup and one sign-in.

And the “Works”?
It’s the whole works: every office in your district, covered by one family of products.
Works, as in
“The whole works.”
Subs, HR, Finance, Help Desk, Facilities and Builder: one family of products for every office in your district. Use one, or bring home the whole works.

The family
Teachers, school admins, and one very patient school psychologist
Weaverbird Works is a family-owned corporation, and school runs in the family. I grew up surrounded by educators and school administrators. My mom has been a teacher for 40 years. My wife is a school psychologist. Holiday dinners at our house sound a lot like a staff meeting.
My own path ran through the server room. My background is in IT infrastructure, data management, and information security (CISSP) work; most recently in EdTech, helping schools roll out the software they run on.
I’ve successfully implemented software in Guam, Alaska, the Bronx, the beach, and everywhere in between. Every environment was different, and every one of them deserved software that fit them, not the other way around.
That’s why I started Weaverbird Works. I want to truly make a change in this space, for the better. Y’all have enough on your hands; the last thing you should worry about is the software solution you’ve entrusted to help you out. That goes for both functionality and price.

The vision
Software that’s made for schools. Yours, specifically.
Made for schools
Not a business tool with “education” painted on. Subs, approvals, sick banks, board packets, drills and permission slips: built for how schools actually run.
Fully customizable
Your campuses, your approval steps, your forms, your words. Every district is set up around its own way of doing things.
A fair price
Simple pricing by campus, published right on our pricing table. No setup fees, no per-user fees, no long-winded sales process.
35%of all company profits
Giving back to the place that raised us
Thirty-five percent of all Weaverbird Works profits are donated to education charities and scholarship programs. When your district grows with us, students and schools grow too.
